Laura & David's Elopement

Laura & David are the coolest. They live in Manchester, UK and are both smart and well traveled and very interested in the world around them. Instead of doing the whole wedding thing, they hopped on a plane, flew to Vegas, and eloped. My husband Andrew and I got to spend two days with them, laughing and drinking and talking about our different cultures and the fate of this crazy world (oh and they got married and I took photos, that happened too.) The first day we went out to Red Rock Canyon and just played in the desert until the sun went down. After that we drove back downtown and the happy couple got their official marriage license (the marriage license bureau in Vegas is open until midnight every night of the week, because it's Vegas). The second day we met at the Little White Wedding chapel and did the dang thing. They were married in a hilariously kitchy white gazebo in no time flat, with Andrew as signing as their witness. After that we walked around the city taking photos until it was just too hot to function. I really loved getting to be a part of Laura & David's elopement. A big wedding has so many benefits in so many different ways, but there's something really special about making your wedding day focus be just the two of you. At the end of the day, that's what a marriage is all about: two people promising to live life faithfully to one another. Laura & David - thanks for letting me be a part of your elopement.
