Katie & Chad's wedding was beautiful, but the best part of the day was the two of them. Their venue was a lovely farm in Ohio and the wedding was meant to be outdoors, but on that fateful day in the early summer of the midwest there was quite a storm blowing through. It rained all day, and when it wasn't raining, it was misting. The wind was blowing like crazy (watch Katie's long luscious hair in these photos for proof of said wind) and it was weirdly cold for May. So plans had to change; they moved the wedding inside, and we did most of the photos under a roof that was only meant to cover a car or two. But Katie & Chad handled it like champs. They were calm and joyful and just grateful to be around their friends. They laughed and danced like fools and Katie strapped on her bridesmaid's sandals and went out into the rain with her groom anyway. The thing that made their day so beautiful wasn't in the details - it was simply the two of them. Katie & Chad knew what the day was about. It wasn't about the plan being perfectly executed. It was about them declaring their vows and celebrating with the people they love. At the end of the day they were married, and that's all that really mattered.
